LLTO is used in thin film form as a solid-state electrolyte in various energy storage and conversion devices such as lithium-ion batteries, solid-state lithium-ion capacitors, and electrochromic windows.

Lithium Lanthanum Titanate (LLTO) is a perovskite oxide material that has gained significant interest in the field of solid-state ionics due to its high ionic conductivity and excellent stability against chemical and electrochemical reactions. There are several techniques for depositing LLTO thin films, including; Pulse laser deposition (PLD), Spin coating, Sputtering, and chemical vapor deposition (CVD)

Crystal Structure of Lithium Lanthanum Titanate

LLTO has a perovskite crystal structure with a space group of Pm-3m. The perovskite structure has the chemical formula ABX3, where A and B are cations and X is an anion. The unit cell consists of titanium, lanthanum, lithium, and oxygen atoms arranged in a cubic lattice.
