Introduction to Lithium Tungstate Thin Film
Lithium Tungstate (Li2WO4) is a well studied solid electrolyte material for lithium ion batteries. Li2WO4 thin films can be deposited on different substrates using various techniques, including sputtering, pulsed laser deposition, and chemical vapor deposition.
Additionally, Li2WO4 thin films exhibit excellent thermal stability, making them suitable for high-temperature applications. Li2WO4 thin films also possess high ionic conductivity, which makes them promising for use in solid-state batteries.
Crystal Structure of Lithium Tungstate
Lithium tungstate (Li2WO4) has a tetragonal crystal structure. The unit cell of lithium tungstate contains two lithium cations (Li+) and one tungstate anion (WO42-). The crystal structure consists of corner-sharing WO4 tetrahedra and Li+ cations occupying octahedral sites. The WO4 tetrahedra are linked to each other via edge-sharing to form a three-dimensional network.
Typical Substrates for Epitaxial Growth of Lithium Tungstate
